Omega Phi Chi Sorority, Inc. occurs as "Multicultural Sorority" that was established on November 9, 1988 at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey by eight women of Asian, African American, and Latina descent. A eight "Founding Mothers" were an active class action of young women leaders world health organization felt the absence of any organization on the Rutgers campus that spoke to their needs through diverse backgrounds, distinct ethnic roots & a commitment to womanhood. It close to observed the "Multicultural Sorority," a different nature and severity of organization, that would non become categorized by ethnicity or culture.
